Lubbock- 85, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018. James was born to Manard and Pearl Miller in Ben Franklin, TX on February 13, 1933. He attended school in Roxton, TX where he graduated. James joined the U. S. Army in 1951 and fought in the Korean War.

James leaves to cherish his memory; one brother, Roy Lee Miller (Geneva); 4 sons, Dale Miller, Wayne Miller, Raymond Miller, and Ricky Miller; 5 daughters, Annie Lawson (Billy), Vela Turner (James), Jimmie Lawson (Derrell), Mickey Walls, and Diane Miller; 29 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Lorenzo, TX. Interment will follow at Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
