Russell Alan Pruitt, 64, passed away in Duncanville, Texas. Burial will be at Mexia Cemetery.

Russell was born on December 12, 1954, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Richard Pruitt and Mary Jean Russell Jones. He served his country as a Quarter Master in the U.S. Navy from June 1981 through July 1987. Russell also worked as Production Control Coordinator for SEW EURODRIVE for over 20 years.

Russell believed in enjoying life and living it to the fullest. He loved his family and cherished his time with them. He was an avid reader, reading books of all types, especially, his Bible and history books. History always fascinated him.

Russell had a love and need for time outdoors: camping, playing golf and as much time on the water as possible. No matter the season, he was a LIFELONG Dallas Cowboy Fan!

He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Pruitt.

Survivors include his granddaughter, Opal Pruitt, of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Herb Jones and his wife, Aubree, and their daughter, Savannah, of Murphy, Texas; uncle, Jack Russell; cousins: Michael, Emily, and Jessica; other relatives and many friends. V5
