He attended Berlin schools, and was well known in the restaurant arena, especially for his crab cakes.Besides his mother and father, he is survived by his daughters; Chloe Tompkins and her partner Teddy Kuhn, Mia Tompkins and her partner AJ Hendrickson and Grace Tompkins, and a son, Alex Tompkins. He is also survived by his sister, Alicia Karsky, a brother Gregg Karsky and his wife Ewelina, a niece Yana Karsky.
