Kathryn Ann “Kay” Brewer, 84, Sharpsville, passed away at 8:34 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born June 17, 1934, in Marion, the daughter of the late Fred & Lucille (Garrette) Hawkins. On October 1, 1954, in Marion, she married David Lee Brewer who preceded her in death on October 10, 2007.

Kay retired from Weight Watchers after 20 years of service. She was selfless and a true definition of a house wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Kay loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren, and her loving dog, “Libby”.

Kay is survived by her children, Diane (Max) Ogle, Gail Smith, Nancy (Greg) Rolfe, and Steven (Robin) Brewer; grandchildren, Eric Ogle, Kristina Fields, Kyle (Heather) Smith, Brandon (Cassie) Rolfe, Tyler (Michelle) Rolfe, Matthew (Brooke) Rolfe and Lance Brewer; great-grandchildren, Rory Fields, Kylee, Tessa, Millie Smith, Mason, Amelia, and Ella Rolfe; sister-in-law, Phyllis Gowin; brother-in-law, Ronnie Brewer; and her loving dog, “Libby”.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Richard Hawkins; sister-in-law, Anne Brewer; and son-in-law, Kevin Smith.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Monday, June 3, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Greg Rolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Huntington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
