Born to Ella Spitz 1924 Jan 15. When she died of childbirth complications a week later, Milton was given to a family member who was likely his grandmother to raise. His dad Tom Tyler remarried years later.

He was one of the first Eagle Scouts in the Boy Scouts and had medals for saving a life. One person he saved was drowning. He was athletic intelligent and loved the outdoors. He also had quite a temper that seems to a feature of the Tyler ( Job Tyler ) lineage.
He served in the Navy during WWII and trained as a pilot, also working with radar and radio equipment.
He worked for a number of electronics firms and developed many antenna and microwave devices.

He was always learning, always studying and was well-liked by his friends and co-workers.
The inventor side of his nature was always evident, and he would see solutions that were not dreamed of by others.
During a work accident, a co-worker was sprayed with acid, and Milton grabbed him and ran into the shower they had at work to save him. Another life he likely saved.

He was fond of camping and exploring and made sure his children learned respectful and responsible ways to be in tune with Nature. He was not a hunter and had no desire to kill animals for sport.

His sense of humor was wacky and he loved the dry British humor and would often go into character to make his friends and children laugh.
He also had a thing for hats and wore a Scottish Tam-O-Shanter as one favorite.

Ships and sailing and all things nautical were a big interest of his. There were trips on a relative's boat on Lake Michigan crossing over to the Indiana Dunes. He took his 2 daughters fishing many times, and fostered in them quite a love of fishing.

He passed due to the effects of a stroke to his right side that had occurred several years before, and hated being handicapped with the loss of control and weakness that developed.

He is interred in the Crypt section of Concordia, along with Genevieve Anna Henson, his wife.
