Dad was born to Monroe and Irene Davis on March 14, 1931 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Dad was raised on a farm and moved from Poplar Bluff to Michigan as a child. He married Betty Friday on March 23, 1957 and was married for 57 years. They moved from Missouri to Washington, Oregon and California for work farming and construction. Dad loved hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. In 1972 they moved the family to the West Coast for good. They moved to Yakima where he worked as a logger and in construction until the 1990s when he went to Alaska to log and where he was in a logging accident that ended his logging career. He then began yard selling and buying and selling cars and other things as a pastime. He went into assisted living in 2015 due to dementia, where he passed away peacefully on May 12, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother and wife.

He is survived by 2 sons, Don and Geralyd Davis of Juneau, Alaska, and Richard of Juneau, Alaska, a granddaughter, Deina, and 2 grandsons, Syerus and Gauge of Haines, Alaska.

Dad will be buried with his wife and their parents in Oak Hill Cemetery "Old Oak Cemetery in Poplar Bluff (Hilliard, Missouri), Montana (?) which were their wishes.
