--------------------

Mr. Yerion was well-traveled. His parents left Illinois after 1870 and by 1885 were living in Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska with 3 of their 4 known children. Sidney was born about 1872 in Arkansas and his sister, Alma was born about 1875 in Missouri. Another sister, Myrtle was born about 1884 in Nebraska. Their oldest sibling, Laura was born about 1869 in Illinois but was not with them in Nebraska. The father was a carpenter.

The family moved on to Olympia, Washington where Sidney celebrated his 15th birthday with a surprise party with his young friends in January, 1887.

In 1892 he was living in Thurston County, Washington and in 1895, he lived in Seattle where he was a Marine engineer.

Sidney was a talented young man and in 1895, he performed an instrumental solo for a program for the regular meeting of Central Lodge, No. 192 of the Independent Order of Good Templars in Seattle, Washington.

He married Pearl A. Dunlap on September 23, 1898 in King County, Washington and continued to live in Seattle where he was an engineer. Pearl and Sidney had a daughter, Mae born in 1900.

In 1907, he and his 2nd wife Hattie Mae were living in Seattle, Washington. He was a representative for D. S. Johnston Company, that sold pianos and organs, and Mae was a stenographer for J. E. Bratnober.

In 1910, Sidney was still living in Seattle and his occupation was listed as a tuner.

By 1917, Sidney was living in Buffalo, New York City, New York where his mother-in-law (who was also the widow of his paternal uncle), Ionia Huff Yerion [FAG #27244097] and his 1st cousin, Joseph T. Yerion [FAG #199639487] were living.
