Judi graduated from Tri-County High School in Plainfield, Wisconsin, and then earned a Histology Certification from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Judi worked as a Histologist at Marion General Hospital for 10 1/2 years, St. Joseph's Hospital in Kokomo for 3 1/2 years, and then retired from Community Hospital in Anderson after 10 1/2 years of service.
Judi’s sense of service stemmed from her love for her Lord and went far beyond her work at the hospital. She was a faithful member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church since 1962, volunteering her time and talents with children’s and youth ministries, singing in the choir, hosting small groups within her home, and leading the card ministry. Judi truly enjoyed watching Packer, Notre Dame, and Badger football, but not nearly as much as she enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in their activities. Judi was loved deeply by her family, and her passing leaves a void in their lives.
Judi is survived by her three children, Leiloni Holder, New Port Richey, FL; Lorelei Moore, Jonesboro, IN; and E. Barkley Holder, Jonesboro, IN; mother, Eleanor Frederick, Stevens Point, WI, sister, Sally Jean Worzella, Stevens Point, WI; brother, Orville Scott (Kim) Halverson, Stevens Point, WI; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Kyle) Mock, Zachary (Brooklynn) Moore, Adriana (Matthew) Chidester, Jessie (Mark) Brand, Gage Holder, Spencer Holder, Tate Holder; six great grandchildren, and many extended family who love and miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Orville; husband, Jack; and sister, Constance.
Arrangements for Judi have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion. A visitation will be held on June 6, 2019, from 10:30 am to 12:30 am at Lakeview Wesleyan Church, 5316 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. A funeral service will immediately follow, with Duane Seitz officiating. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
