Mary worked for Reed Metal Craft from 1948-1955. The company then changed its name to Milbank and Mary retired from there in 1968. After retirement, Mary worked for Bargain Center in the sewing room from 1980-1981. She loved making crafts, baskets, crocheting, and playing cards with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Sharon (Robert) Harshman, Peru, Donna Downham, Galveston, Larry (Beryl) Kendall, Greentown, and Roger (Carol) Kendall, Kokomo; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gerald M. Kendall Jr.; siblings, Bessie Molden, Wanda Phifer, Charles McDorman Jr., William McDorman, Max McDorman, Leo McDorman, and Earl McDorman; daughter-in-law, Linda Kendall; and son-in-law, Larry Downham.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Waterford Legacy for the care they gave Mary.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 10, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Ken Spangler officiating. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit from 2-4 pm Sunday, at the funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
