THOMAS JOSEPH SR., 78, died on Sunday April 28, 2019 at his residence in Belfast. He was born to Frank and Mary Louise (Saulis) Joseph on April 27,1941 in Houlton, Maine.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine Keene Joseph and their children, Thomas Joseph Jr. his wife Cynthia of Morrill, Frank and Rhodora of Belfast, Amanda Joseph and her partner Micheal Weaver of Waldo as well as his beautiful grandchildren, Zack Joseph of Searsport, Kelsey and Cali Joseph of Morrill, Savannah Springer and Rohan Joseph of Belfast, Silas and Malachi Weaver of Waldo; also two great grandchildren, Serenity Joseph and Thomas B. Joseph of Searsport. He is also survived by one brother, John Joseph and family of Houlton, one sister Grace Joseph McKee of Biddeford, brother-in-law Leonard Sabbatis and family of Benedicta; three sisters-in-law Betty Joseph of Houlton, Marilyn Keene Jones and family from Crystal and Christine Keene and family of Litchfield; many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family who he adored.

He is predeceased by his parents, four brothers and five sisters, Francis and Veronica Joseph, Peter Joseph, Anthony Joseph, Carl Joseph, Mary Addington, Florence Shannon, Sally Courtamache, Elizabeth Jewell, and Theresa Joseph.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served from 1959 to 1962. He was also very proud of his Native heritage of being a Passamaquoddy and Maliseet. Tom worked many years at Maplewood Poultry and Penobscot Poultry and made many friends. Then he worked at Camden Tannery until his retirement.

He was known for his love of music and could play many instruments, especially the steel guitar. He loved to sing in all the bands he was in and he really loved country music.
