He was pensioned by B.F. Goodrich on January 1, 1927 after 31 years of service, and was a member of The Fifty Year Club of Akron.
Survived by two sons, Gerald Stanton and Mell Stanton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wade Oswald; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Conrad, Mrs. Jennie Fassnacht (actually Fosnight), and Mrs. Elsie Stewart; and three brothers, George Stanton, Walter Stanton, and Arthur Stanton.
Funeral services: Wednesday , March 1, 1933, at his residence, 676 Mallison Avenue.
Burial: Greenlawn Cemetery
