Jacob (Jake) Lavelle Jordon 98 of Bowie passed away June 3, 2019 at his home.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday June 6, 2019 at the Montague County Cowboy Church with Pastor Ronnie Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow at Newport Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday June 5, 2019 at the White Family Funeral Home.
Arrangements are entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
Jake was born July 11, 1920 in Newport TX to Charlie Dutwin and Katherine Lora (Cowley) Jordan. He married his wife, Fairy Ladell (Taylor) Jordan, June 25, 1940, who was the Love of his life.
Another of Jake’s loves were his animals, always keeping a dog for a best friend at work and rest.
His pass time was raising horses and cattle for income and pleasure along with owning and operating Jake’s Garage for more than 50 years before retiring it.
Jake is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Paschal (Pat) Jordan, Sister Ella Agnes (Jordan) Keenum, and Brother Willie (Bill) Vinson Jordan.
He is survived by his Wife: Ladell of 78 + years, Brother: Max Jordan of Pasadena TX, Daughter: Glenda V. Phillips and husband John of Cave Springs AR, Son: JB Jordan and wife Joanne of Bowie TX, Daughter: JaDell Jordan of Bowie TX. ;11 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great, Great Grandchildren .
