Kenneth “Merritt” Bates was born June 12, 1936 in Caldwell, OH a son of the late William R. and Marie Bates.
He owned his own radio station, WBBY based out of Sunbury, OH for many years. He also worked for Hammond Electronics and Roush Honda. Merritt enjoyed golfing, playing pool, bowling, Karaoke, and watching his grandkids play sports.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children’s mother Marilyn Bates.
