Victor White, 93, of Grinnell, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell. Victor was born June 8, 1925 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Grace (Beatty) White. Victor attended school in Grinnell. He later enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1943 to 1946. He married Erdythe Earp at the Methodist Church in Killduff, Iowa on August 18, 1946. Victor worked at Maytag for over 35 years. He was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved watching the Grinnell Tigers. Victor could be seen many times with pool stick in his hand playing a round of pool. He loved riding his lawn mower and mowing the lawn which was hard for him to give up as he aged. Victor loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Victor was proceeded in death by his parents and two children in infancy, James and Randall.
