THE PARIS NEWS, Dec. 22, 2006: “Bertha B. Garrett-Taylor, 92, formerly of Paris died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, in Amarillo. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Cook officiating. Burial follows in Meadowbrook Gardens. She was born March 15, 1915, in Red River County, a daughter of Frank and Ellie Littrell Nabors. She was a longtime member of Oak Park United Methodist Church and lifetime member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Howard Garrett, and her second husband, Noel V. Taylor. She is survived by a nephew, John W. Nabors and wife, Brenda; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends
