Professional Basketball Player. For six seasons (1949 to 1955), he played at the shooting guard position in the National Basketball Association with the Syracuse Nationals. He attended Binghamton Central High School and would go on to play collegiate basketball at the University of Syracuse. He served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Gabor was selected by the Rochester Royals of the Basketball Association of America in 1948, however he would end up signing with the Syracuse Nationals. In 307 career regular season games, he compiled 2,997 points. He distinguished himself, when he achieved all star status during the 1952-1953 season. He played in 3 games with the 1954-1955 Syracuse Nationals squad which captured the NBA Title.
