He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Wilma (Marshall) Moore of the home;
Also surviving are his daughter, Connie J. Johnson (Jerry), and one sister, Dorothy McCullough, Eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great, great child. He was proceeded in death by his parents, two son, Gary Thomas and Jack Richey, four brothers, Bill, Charles, Roy and baby Moore, two sisters, Phyllis Turley and Ruby Ann Renfo.
Chester served in the National Guard 279 Infantry and was given an honorable discharge on April 28th, 1951. He joined the Navy on January 22, 1952 and served on the U.S.S. Devastator during the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge on January 21st, 1955. He received the Korean Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.
Chester retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in East Peoria, IL after 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Farmington, IL and the American Legion and the VFW in Henryetta, OK. He loved to fish and camp out, but his true passion was golf.
Pallbearers will be Keith Green, Cesar Munoz , John Freeman , Jeremy Johnson, Nathan Green & Joe Marshall . Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Marshal & John D. Freeman.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Viewing will be from noon until 2:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
