Marjorie C. Arehart, 72, of Beaverton Apartments, died Thursday, Feb. 4, in the Midland Hospital Center after a long illness with cancer. Born in Beaverton, July 30, 1915, she had spent her lifetime there. She taught in the Beaverton schools and was a member of the Beaverton Baptist Church.
The former Marjorie Bergman, she was married to Larry Arehart Aug. 22, 1936, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death March 29 1985. Surviving are one daughter, Melodie Walters of Clare; 3 sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Tucker of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Jean Berner and Mrs. Anne Mowery of Midland; and one brother, Calvin Bergman of Beaverton. Three brothers also preceded her in death.
Services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Beaverton Baptist Church. Pastor Brian Wright officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. Gladwin County Record dated 02-10/1988 Column - 3 Page - 2
