MR. MITCHELL JONES, 51 of 3127 Lewis Road, Oxford, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 31, 2019 at his residence.
He was born to the parentage of Bessie Jones and the late Isaac Jones.
Mitchell was employed with Murdoch Center until his health declined.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Bessie Jones of the home; one brother, Kelvin Downey (Okhui)of Oxford, NC; three sisters, Sandra Tabourn (Greg) of Williamsboro, NC, Beverly Patricia Bumpass and Betty Jean Bowden both of Oxford, NC; six aunts; four uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his father, Mitchell was also preceded in death by two great-nephews, Messiah Winston and Nathan Bumpass.
Viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in the Chapel with eulogy by Bishop James T. Daniel. Burial will follow in the Only Way Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the residence.
