He was the son of the late Dennis and Mae Perkins. He was a 1936 graduate of Belmont High School and earned his CPA from Franklin University. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from the IRS after 26 years. He was a member of Karl Road Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Essie, and two sons, David and Donald.
