Ms. Mavis A. Johnson passed away from this life on Monday, July 10, 2017. She was born in Balaclava, Jamaica to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeramiah Salkey. Ms. Mavis attended schools in Balaclava, Jamaica. In 1955, while in Jamaica she met and later married the late Samuel Johnson. They were married 54 years before the Lord called Deacon Samuel Johnson home. Ms. Mavis was a member of Exciting Central Tampa Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess and was an active member in the Charity Sunday Class. She was preceded in death by: late husband and one of her sons. Mavis leaves to cherish her memory: three beautiful & beloved children, three siblings, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends and well-wishers.
