MAUDE SMITH DIES FEB. 23
Funeral services were held Monday, February 26, at 2 p.m. at Goodrich Chapel for Mrs. Maude Shinn Smith, who died at the age of 86 years, six months, and six days at the Sac Osage Hospital.

Mrs. Smith had been a resident of the Community Care Center at Lowry City for the past year.

Officiating at the service was Mrs. Ida Bell Hankerson, Mrs. Viola Wallen, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Marshall Lockrone.

Grandsons were pallbearers and burial was made in the Iconium cemetery.

She was born August 1, 1887.

Her marriage to Elisher Elljah Smith occurred when Miss Shinn was 21 years old. Mr. Smith died threes ago. Eight children were born to the couple. One child died in infancy.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Ester B Carry, Osceola, Mrs. Jackie Hodgins and Dimple Burn of Kansas City; four sons, Elmer of Bolivar, Oscar, of Lomita, California, Archie of Kansas City and Boyce of Clinton; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; one great great grand children.
