Billy Mack Chandler, 66, died on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Billy was born in Haywood County on September 2, 1951, to the late Starlie and Lucille Fisher Chandler. Billy was an outdoorsman who enjoyed bear hunting, coon hunting, and fishing. He will be remembered for his carpentry skills and his love of family. Billy never knew a stranger. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca McCarter Cope Chandler; and his sister, Nancy Smathers. Billy is survived by three sons, Jarrett Chandler (Angie), Jason Chandler (Vanessa) and Tony Cope (Peggy); brothers, Richard and Jimmy Chandler; sister, Betty Stamey (Marion); six grandchildren, Carter, Jacob, Jada, and Jacie Chandler, Emilie Carver (Will), and Alanna Cope; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Carver; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Steve Frasier officiating.
