Floyd Allen Stone, 70, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2004, at Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 23 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Friends may call 9-10 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Ivanhoe United Church of Christ, Raytown, MO. Floyd was born December 27, 1933, the son of Floyd E. and Florence Stone in Forest City, MO. Floyd moved to the KC area with his family when he was eight, and lived in the Northeast area for many years. Floyd graduated from North East High School and after graduation, served in the Army for two years. Floyd attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business and Administration. Floyd was the owner of Deluxe Liquor Store before retiring. Floyd was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet, of the home; daughters Shelly McMilian, Blue Springs, MO, Stacey Beck, Anthem, AZ, and son Mark Stone, Raytown, MO; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Celesta Stewart, Raytown, MO, and Mary Lou Pedan, Minneapolis, MN.
