Funeral services for S.E. (Ed) Gresham, 72, of 906 North Mallard Street, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Hassell & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Otis Felton and the Rev. M.L. Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Woods, C.A. Perry ,W.A. Lackland, H.B. Thomas Jr., B.H. Davis and Cooper Lewis.

Mr. Gresham was born August 23,1894 in Moody Texas to the late Jim and Melissa Alice Wesson Gresham . He moved from San Antonio to Palestine in 1944 and before retiring in 1962, he had 20 years service as an electrician for Missouri Pacific Railroad .

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers , he died Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. in a local hospital after a long illness.

Survivors are his widow ,Mrs. Virginia Smalley Gresham of Palestine ; six sons Bonnie and Arnold , both of Vernon TX, Cecil of Arlington TX , Sam Warren of Celina TX, Donald of Alexandria LA, and Ronald Gresham of Long Beach CA. Five daughters Mrs. Mildred Hull of Uvalde TX, Mrs. Dorothy Baker of Goodrich TX, Mrs. Eddie Grantham of Vernon TX, Mrs. Ann Warren Crone of Dallas TX and Mrs. Kay Szabo of Dallas TX; Three sisters Bertha Kinsel of Abbott TX, Mrs. Etta Wilcoxson of Temple TX, and Mrs. Georgia Stovall Of Irving TX. ; two brothers , Gene Smith of Troy TX, and Gus Smith of Austin TX; 24 grandchildren ; three greatgrandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
