He was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Libby" Shadoan Carter, she survives.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bobbitt Cemetery. The family of Mr. Melvin Carter will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until time for services.
Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38
