Josephine was born October 28, 1925 to the late Joseph and Rosalie LoNigro in St. Louis, Missouri. On May 8, 1950 Josephine married Lynn Brewer. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1998. Before his passing, Josephine and Lynn were active with the Knights of Columbus and could be found every Saturday night cooking at the Knights Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. She was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Parish before her health prohibited her from attending. Josephine was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed filling her days caring for her children and later helping with her grandchildren as much as possible.
Josephine is survived by her five sons, Lawrence Brewer; Steve Brewer; Dennis Brewer; David Brewer; Richard Brewer and wife Suzanne; nine grandchildren, Alexis Brewer; Natalia Peterson and husband Kyle; Paul Brewer and wife Nichol; Jessica Petritz and husband Johnny; Andrew Brewer; Heather Palelei and husband Golden; Eric Brewer; Sophia Brewer; and Jack Brewer. Five great grandchildren, Charlotte Peterson; Colin Peterson; Luna Brewer; Gunnar Brewer and Ronin Palelei also survive her.
Visitation and Graveside Services
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 22 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.
