William C. Story, 74, of Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Private family services will be held later. Cremation is planned.

William was born November 5, 1944, in Ottawa, the son of William J. and Pauline L. (Heckman) Story. He grew up in Ottawa moving to Kansas City, Kansas where he lived for 45 years. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1962.

Survivors include his son, Sean Story of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Mary Hepner and husband Jim of Ottawa; niece, Paula Patterson and husband Erik of Ottawa; and nephew, Wade Hepner and wife Jenise of Ottawa.

William was employed with the Wyandotte County Mental Health as a caseworker for 25 years.
