Patricia Ann "Pat" Gable, 79, of Quincy, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018.
Pat was born in Chicago to Paul W. and Cathrin B. (Blondin) Harshman.
She was a graduate of Schlarman Catholic Academy in Danville, and worked in local television for many years at CBS affiliates WCIA in Champaign and KHQA in Quincy, most recently writing and producing local TV commercials.
In the past decade and a half, she enjoyed her retirement. She particularly loved reading, going to local concerts and to movies at the Quincy Public Library with her friends, and caring for the elderly as a regular volunteer at St. Vincent's Home. Pat also was a reader and extraordinary minister of holy communion for Masses at St. Francis Solanus Parish in Quincy.
She is survived by her three children, Theresa Kay Creighton (Paul) of Winter Park, Fla., Michael James Proudfit of Quincy and Doyne Marie Liverett of Quincy; four grandchildren, Jennifer Swango, Jason Swango (Christina), Jennifer Creighton and Michael Creighton; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan, James, Dylanie and Lucas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Paul Harshman Jr.
SERVICES: 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Francis Catholic Church.
VISITATION: Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
