May 18, 1949 ~ April 1, 2019

Dave Burgess, 69, passed away April 1, 2019. He was born May 18, 1949 to Jesse Charles and Leona Bell (Woody) Burgess in Dallas, Texas.

Dave’s passion was always automobiles, custom cars and hot rods. A little later in life this passion led him to start Guaranteed Car Care, running it successfully for 17 years. Dave then found his calling in the sales industry, during this time he worked for Classic Chevrolet, Metro Volkswagen and Fred Oakley Auto Group, and for a small time he co-owned and operated Kwik Kar Lube.

After retirement Dave just could not let his love of automobiles go, so he began his own business, Burgess Sales, repairing small engines which he ran out of his home. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Irving and a member of the El Camino Club.

Preceded in death by both parents. Survived by his wife of 15 years, Joyce; children, brother, Bob; grand children and numerous extended family and friends.
