Funeral services for Billy Marlis Fowler, age 84, of Wedowee will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Mr. Fowler passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at his daughter’s residence.

Survivors include: one daughter, Pam Wiggins (Ray) of Graham; one son, Scott Fowler of Wedowee; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Fowler, Caleb Brown, Blake Bivins, Josh Williamson, Corey Prince, and Cody McAlpin.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Fowler was born on September 22, 1934, the son of Homer Dallas and Easter Wilder Fowler. He was a member of New Fellowship Church in Lineville and worked as a carpenter. Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue Fowler; and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Clay County Hospice, P.O. Box 1270, Ashland AL 36251.
