Ellis Jr. Martin, 90, of Michigan City, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 at his home.

Ellis was born on November 29, 1928 in Guin, AL, to Valentine and Cleo (Riddle) Martin.

On June 7, 1997 in La Porte, IN, he married Doris Mae Hubbard who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Angela DeLong of Bradenton, FL, Janice (Scott) Alm of North Jackson, OH, Karen (Mike) Cox of Kingsford Heights, and Terry Martin of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great, great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded by his parents; previous wife, Johnye Mae Martin; stepfather, Bob Smith; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and 2 grandchildren.

Ellis served as a Pastor for 40+ years. He was a member of Harvest Time Church of God for almost 40 years. His favorite past times included traveling, camping, playing guitar, and especially spending time with his family and friends.

A service honoring Pastor Martin's life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Harvest Time Church of God. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 7 pm on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10 am until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.
