Wynona (Nonie) Sue Burnett, 78, of Lancaster, MO, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Kirksville Manor Care Center. She was born March 13, 1941 in Missouri, the daughter of Cecil and Hildred Toney.

In 1966, she moved to Yorkville, Illinois, where she worked various jobs and raised her family. She enjoyed being in a bowling league and babysitting her grandchildren. She was always willing to help someone in need. In retirement, she returned to her home state of Missouri. She volunteered her free time at the Nutrition Site. She loved tending to her small garden, crocheting blankets, cooking and baking, and taking care of her beloved dogs, Muffin, Loki and Cricket. Most of all, she enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
She leaves behind her son, James Burnett and wife, Judy; daughter, Nancy Benninger and husband, Craig; three grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay) Burnett; Steven (Jennifer) Miller; Stephanie (Matthew) Tucker; seven great-grandchildren, Mickaela Hoaglund, Mickenzie Hoaglund, Jessica Miller, Joshua Burnett, Logan Burnett, Brynley Tucker, Leighton Tucker; one nephew, Keith Toney; three nieces, LoutrishaToney, Sally Ayer, and Melissa VanDyke; Curtis Dabney (D.D.'s son); several cousins, great nieces and nephews, friendsand her dog, Cricket.

Preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Hildred Toney; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Nora Lou Toney; sister, Sherry Toney; her infant brother; father of her children, Walter Burnett; her companion, D.D. Dabney; and dogs, Muffin and Loki.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Schuyler County Church of Faith with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. A visitation will be held one hour before the service from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. also at the church. Burial will be at a later date.
