Louis I. Howard, 77, of Murray died Wednesday, March 12, 1997, in Calloway County. He was born in Whitesville, was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Murray and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by” a son, Joseph Howard; and a daughter, Mary Howard. Survivors include his wife, Merle D. Howard; four sons, Francis Owen Howard, Dennis Anthony Howard, Carroll Louis Howard and James Dale Howard, all of Kentucky; two daughters, Marcia Marie Howard and Sharon Ann Howard, both of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six brothers; and a sister. Services are at 9 a.m. today at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Murray. Burial will be in Whitesville.
