Michelle Adams (nee: Alice Adams Groeninger), 76, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born in Ripley County, Indiana on February 1, 1943 to the late Allen Quincy and Mable Elizabeth (Crane) Adams.
Michelle was a 1962 graduate of F.J. Reitz High School. She worked for Don's Cleaners on Evansville's West Side for over thirteen years and later worked at Wendy's for many years. She was an independent, strong-willed, caring lady who was very devoted to her family. In her spare time, Michelle loved crafts, especially crocheting and embroidery.
Michelle is survived by her sons: Irvin S. Groeninger (Darla) of Boonville, IN, Terry Groeninger of Petersburg, IN; daughters, Rosalina Messamore (Charles) of Clay, KY, Krista Dunkerson (Maurice) of Henderson, KY, and Shelly Yeary of Evansville, IN; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Michelle was preceded in death by her sisters: Susan Adams, Nellie Adams and Nancy Adams Fendrich.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will take place at Greendale Cemetery in Osgood, Indiana. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
