Janet Lee Goodson Rose of Sophia, WV, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2019.
Born October 12, 1940 in Beaver, WV, she was the daughter of the late Anna Florence Bragg and the late Jesse Raymond Goodson.
In addition to her parents, Jesse and Anna Goodson, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Nelson Rose; her four children, Cynthia Jane Hammons, Robert Lee Rose, Ronald Nelson Rose, and infant son, Robert Nelson Rose; her brothers, Thomas Goodson and Robert Goodson
Janet was a caregiver for over 30 years. She lived her life with strength, courage, and compassion for others. Janet walked the earth with grace and style, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, unity and respect.
Survivors include her sisters Naomi (Charles) Ayers, Thelma Allen, Karen Donat, Connie Roberts, Dara Mae (John) Gorby, Mary Lou (Franky) Redden; her brothers, Randy Goodson, Larry Goodson, and Donzie Goodson; two beloved daughter-in-laws, Lisa Rose and Cathy Malashevich; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hammons (Stephanie), Amanda Hammons,Matthew Hammons, Michael (Dana) Hammons, Travis (Sherrie) Rose, Adam Schianodicola; several beloved great grandchildren, Elijah, Raymond, Hazel, Teagan, Cindy, Brendan, Zachary, Jaden, and Ava; and a very special niece, Laura Cutlip and ex-husband, Weldon Griffith.
