Pearl Naomi Murphy, 89, of Biggers, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019. Pearl was born in Biggers, Arkansas, on Friday, April 4, 1930, to Edward and Lee McMurtry Yancy.

Pearl was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, neighbor, and friend. She was a member of both, The Red Hat Society and Calvary Baptist Church, in Corning, Arkansas.

Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, Perry Murphy Jr.; parents, Edward and Lee McMurtry Yancy; son, Vernon Layton; daughters, Geraldine Rush and Kathy Gibson; brother, E.L. Yancy.

Pearl is survived by her daughter, Rita (Ronnie) Godwin, of Biggers; sister, Geraldine McPherson, of Reyno; grandchildren, Anna Layton, of Little Rock, Frank Layton, Stephanie Layton, Vince Layton, all of Kentucky, Bridget (Carlton) Hennings, of Biggers, Leonard (Diana) Rush, of Peach Orchard, Tammy Solis, of Biggers, Amy (Javier) Solis, Orange, Texas, Tina (Steve) Roberts, of Pocahontas, Becky (Shannon) Bagwell, of Biggers, and Rachel (Conrad) Zitzelberger, of Biggers; twenty-six great grandchildren; and fifteen great, great grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Hite Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Hunter Jarrett, Christopher Zitzelberger, Christian Solis, Kevin Hennings, Travis Bagwell, Miguel Solis. The family also respectfully wishes to designate Shannon Bagwell, as honorary pallbearer.
