Ms. Mary Evelyn Crews, age 85, Of Macclenny, Florida passed peacefully on May 25, 2019. She was born on May 24, 1934 to the late John R. Davis and late Sina Hickox Davis. Ms. Crews was born in Blackshear, Georgia, but resided in Macclenny most of her life. She worked as a restaurant owner and entrepreneur with her late husband, Elder Paul P. Crews, and is most famously known for owning and managing the Midget Burger restaurant, of Macclenny, in the late 1960’s. She was known to have impacted many young lives and help them get their start in life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary and was loved by many, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elder Paul P. Crews; both parents; Son, Paul K. Crews; Brother, John R. “Buck” Davis Jr. ; and Sisters Elois Harvey, Anna L. Mobley, Paulene Olgavie, and Estell Green.

Ms. Crews is survived by 3 sons, 1 daughter, 14 grandchildren & numerous great grandchildren, p;us many other loved ones.

A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Crews will be held at 2 P.M., Thursday, May 30th, in the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Florida. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, May 29, from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Her internment will be in Moniac cemetery, Moniac, Georgia. Services will be officiated by Elder David Crawford.
