PEARL PHILLIPS
~ Pearl Allison Phillips, 80, of 28-A Fairfield Apartments, died Thursday, May 17, 1990, in Brookview Nursing Home.
~ A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late John and Corrie McCraw Allison and the widow of Loyd Phillips.
~ She was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church and a homemaker.
~ Survivors include two sons, Eckles Phillips of Gaffney and Joe L. Phillips of Stanly, N.C.; three daughters, Rebecca Robbs, Millie Sue Pitts and Nancy Bess, all of Gaffney; three sisters, Bertha Bradley, Millie Sarratt and Frances Lester, all of Gaffney; 14 grandchildre and 15 great-grandchildren.
~ Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in Grassy Pond Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Tom Turner and Dr. Randy Pettit. The body will be in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
~ The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. in Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home. The family is at the home of his daughter, Rebecca Robbs, 110 Stacy Drive.
