Peggy Joan Allen Stevens, age 74, of Whiteville died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Columbus Regional Health Care System in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday at Union Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Neil Floyd officiating. She was the daughter of the late AJ and Emma Long Allen and the widow of Ralph Stevens. She was also preceded in death by two siblings, Curtis Allen and Kathleen Todd. She is survived by a daughter, Pam Stevens of the home; a son, Jerome Al Algin Stevens of Wilmington; two brothers, Vernon Allen and Kenneth Allen both of Tabor City; and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends 2-3 P.M. (one hour prior) Friday at the cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is in charge of the arrangements. No service information has been added.
