Well-Known Farmer Buried at Grassy Pond Cemetery.
~ Funeral services for Julius F. Jolly, 67, Grassy Pond farmer who died in a Spartanburg Hospital Friday were held from the Grassy Pond church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. J.J. Boone was the offiating minister. Interment was in the church cemetery with the Shuford-Hatcher Company, morticians, in charge.
~ Mr. Jolly is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Jolly; two daughters, Miss Orene Jolly, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Irma Jean Guthrie, of High Point, N.C.; three sons, Rhett Jolly, of Rome, Ga., Burgess Jolly, of Polkville, and Lyle Jolly, of California; three brothers, Joe Jolly and E. Wright Jolly, of Grassy Pond, and John Jolly of California; one sister, Mrs. Mary Owens, of Forest City, N.C., and two half-sisters, Mrs. John W. Bridges, of Spartanburg, and Mrs. Watt Smith of Charlotte.
