Brian Dee Schroeder passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 20th, 2019 at his home in Stansbury Park. Brian was born August 23rd, 1963, in Bluffdale, UT to Dietmar Schroeder and Louise Emery Thompson.

Known as Pops, Daddy, Hubbins, Papa, Peepaw, Schroedy, Schroed, and countless other names by countless people whose lives he impacted and paths he crossed.

Though only 55 years young, he was a dying breed in today’s generation of craftsmen. He loved, worked, and played hard through every year we were blessed to have him. A skilled brick mason by trade, he was respected and admired by friends, family, and colleagues for being a true jack of all trades. There was nothing Brian could not build, fix, take apart or do. Never one to rest on his laurels, he always strove for everything to be the best version of what it could be, not only in his work but in his family as well.

As a young man, he enjoyed baseball, golfing with his grandma Emery, fishing with his father and grandfather, and just about anything to save him from the dressing-up or tickling torment of his sisters. He had a love for camping, boating, fishing, hunting, and bowling and enjoyed those activities with friends and family alike. He loved on and off-road motorsports, most recently going on adventures on his Can-Am, also known as The Beebeep, with anyone who would join. You could always find him in his garage sanctuary tinkering the night away with gadgets, gizmos, metal work, and wood-turning, or eating ice cream with his spoiled grandchildren. He took great pride in learning wood working from his father and it gave him great pleasure in creating and gifting different pieces. He enjoyed being surrounded by his ever-growing hoard of tools and parts and could tell if even one was missing or out of place.

Brian had a very charismatic personality. Coupled with his sense of humor, quick wit, and infectious smile, people gravitated towards him. He set strong standards and morals of the type of person we should all strive to be.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his adoring wife of 38 years, Vickie Schroeder, and his beloved children, Jamie and Eddie Burgos, Chase Schroeder, Colby and Carlos Schroeder, and Sierra Schroeder, his grandchildren Mason, Aiden, Kambrya, Gage, and Rylee, as well as his siblings Tammy and Mike Vela, Janette and John Groesbeck, Emily and Bob Mehlhoff, and Sandi Dickey. He was loved and adored by countless nieces, nephews, and other loved ones, in addition to his best friend and confidant of more than 35 years, Bevan & Stacey Allen.

A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Stansbury Park Meetinghouse located at 390 Village Boulevard.
