GREGORY DENNIS VAUGHN, JR., 41, of North Branch and Lapeer, died Monday, May 20, 2019.
Gregory was born December 17, 1977, in Pontiac, to Gregory and Susan Marie (Humphreys) Vaughn. He graduated from Lapeer West High School, class of 1996. Greg was a proud member of the 1995 Lapeer West State Champion football team. He was a gifted musician throughout his entire life and enjoyed playing the guitar and had an excellent singing voice. Greg was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a gifted tattoo artist. Above all, Greg loved his three children.
Greg is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Vaughn; children, Griffin, Raven and Leighla Vaughn; parents, Susan and Gregory Sr. Vaughn of North Branch; grandmother, Dolores Humphreys of Waterford; siblings, Heather Vaughn of Dearborn, Brenda (Gregory) Scott of Westland, Melissa “Missy” (Timothy) Gajda of Fostoria, Kimberly (Jeremy) Kinder of Columbiaville, Garrett (Kristina) Vaughn of North Branch and Gabriel (Leah) Vaughn of Burton. Greg is also survived by many, many nieces and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred “Curly” and Maxine Vaughn and Gerald Humphreys Sr.; and his grandfather-in-law, Ian Keith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Golden Arrow – Lapeer or St. Vincent DePaul.
A memorial Mass was held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison. Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski was the celebrant. Burial was in Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer.
