Stacy Lyn Nichols, 48, of Montana Mines, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in her residence.
She was born July 29, 1970, in Fort Collins, CO, the daughter of Dr. William D. Carpenter and the late Pamela LaMont Carpenter.
Stacy was a 1988 graduate of East Fairmont High School and a 1993 graduate of Fairmont State College. She was a member of the Montana Mines United Methodist Church and had been the office manager of the Deerfield Animal Clinic, in White Hall, WV. Stacy devoted her life to her two children, supporting them and actively participating in all of their school and sports activities throughout their lives.
In addition to her father, Stacy is survived by her two loving children, Rhett Patrick Nichols and Alexandria Victoria Nichols; her brother, SFC Daniel L. Carpenter; her aunt, Terri Kay Swedensky; several uncles and aunts, as well as Dr. William D. Carpenter's fiancée, Janet Sue.
Friends and family may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 4 PM until 8 PM and on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, from 10 AM until 11 AM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at 11 AM. Private committal services will be held by the family.
