Christina is a daughter of Robert Henderson and Mary Ross. She married Andrew Anders Nyman on December 18, 1871 in Salt Lake City. They became parents to ten children: Mary Elizabeth, Sarah Margrethe, Andrew Jr., Jannette, Katherine, Robert, Orvin, Abbie Christine, Rachel and James Henderson.

From Salt Lake Telegram (Salt Lake City, UT) - Tuesday, March 14, 1922:
LOGAN - Mrs. Christina Henderson Nyman, wife of Andrew Nyman and a resident for many years in the Fifth ward, died Sunday as a result of the "flu." She was a native of Scotland, born June 10, 1853, and came her with her parents when she was ten years old, thus sharing the hardships of pioneering.
Funeral services will be held in the Fifth ward chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m.
