Mr. Thomas Harold Buchanan 67, a resident of Opelika Alabama and formerly of Union City, died Monday at his residence.

Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home with Rev. J. T. Brown officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Buchanan was born July 4, 1951 in Humboldt Tn. son of the late Thomas Allen and Virginia Nell (Duck) Buchanan. He married the former Norma Sue Lawrence and she survives.

Mr. Buchanan was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. After Vietnam he was a MP for the National Guard, retiring after twenty-seven years of service. His family would like to thank him for his service to his country. He also retired as a supervisor from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after twenty-seven years.

He is survived in addition to his wife by four daughters and a son -in-law; Elaunda S. Madison, Latina and Rob Hughes, Tonya J. Buchanan and Tami McClain; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Harold and Glenda Duncan and Todd Buchanan; eighteen grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Patsy Webb; one brother, Steve Buchanan and a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Donna Kay Gilbreath; a brother-in-law, William Lawrence; a sister-in-law Linda Faye Collier and a brother-in-law, Danny Joe Lawrence.
