Laura was born in Detroit, Michigan to Dennis and Betsy Petersen and was the youngest of their three children. She moved with her family to Arvada, Colorado. She married Frank Silva and they had two children, Frank Jr. aka Jr. and Isabella aka Izzy. She ran a Day Care for many years, and the children loved her and the parents depended on her to take care of their little ones. She was a member of the Arvada 6th Ward, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survived by husband Frank; her two children; parents Dennis & Betsy Petersen, her two brothers, Dennis and Dwight, and nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss her very much.
