In 1975, he opened the Reilly Church Candles in Clifton Heights.
He retired in 1982.
For more than 60 years he was involved with drum and bugle corps
activities. He was one of eight people inducted into the World Drum Corps
Hall of Fame.
John was a 40-year member of Archer-Epler Muskateers, a drum and bugle corps
in Upper Darby.
He was an ARMY veteran of World War II and earned many service medals,
including three Bronze Stars while serving in Europe. He fought in the Rhineland
and in the Ardennes during the Battle of the Bulge.
Survivors include his wife; five children; two sisters; and nine grandchildren.
