Sharon L. Whitmore, one of the gems of this earth left us early on the morning of September 13th, after a brief battle with gastric cancer. She was born to Orville Lynn Loosli and Lewellyn Harris Loosli in Carey, Idaho on July 18, 1938. When she was a young child the family moved to Nampa.

In her early teens some of the family moved to Alaska where she graduated from High School. During these years she developed a love affair with the outdoors and a passion for rocks.

When she moved back to Nampa she met and married Donald Hukill. They farmed in the Melba area and then moved to Seattle where Don worked for Boeing. Four fun and fantastic daughters were born to this union, Donna, Jody, Janet, and Sandra. They divorced in 1978 and remained friends till his death in 2006....
Sharon met and married Gary Whitmore. He brought with him two sons to add to the family, Dennis and Gary. The sisters were excited to have these boys to bug and give a bad time.

Gary and Sharon snow birded in Bullhead City, Arizona and loved to explore the area and see the beauty and find rocks!!!

Gary passed away in 2006 and Sharon came back to Nampa to work with her passion of rocks and gold and silver smithing. Sharon learned her craft from from an older Indian man in Arizona and took classes to further her knowledge in Silver Smithing and photography at a Mojave Community College in Bullhead City.

Sharon was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, her mother in law, Dora Ross, her brothers Deloy Loosli, Gerald Loosli, sisters Buelah Hall, Thelma Loosli. Her daughter Sandra passed away in 1999. What a glorious reunion there was in Heaven early Tuesday morning! Also preceding her were here several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.

Sharon is survived by her daughteres Donna Hukill of Nampa, Janet (Sione) of Hawaii, Jody Atwood of Nampa, sons Dennis (Angie) of Caldwell, Gary Leon (Stephanie) Whitmore of Nampa. Also brother Eugene (Marion) Loosli of Nampa, sisters Marjorie Rawson, Velma Knapp, Athalie Gravatt, and Martha (Athel) Mallory, all of Nampa and sister-in-law Edith Loosli of Nevada.

One of her delights here on this earth were her grandchildren. Sepeti, Tofavaha, Loata, Donald, Natasha, Karissa, Jaeson, Stephen, Amie, Christopher. Sharon had many nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. There are also 7 great grandchildren that celebrate their Grandma Sharon.
The family would like to thank Dr. & Kristen Dee, Legacy Hospice, Peggy Williams and Dr. Ballentyne for their love and care.

Thank you also for the many extended family and friends for sharing their love of Sharon with us.
A Memorial Service will be held in Honor of Sharon Whitmore on Friday, September 16th, 2011, at 2 pm at the LDS church on the corner of Amity & Chicago in Nampa, Idaho. A tribute/visitation will be 1 hour prior at the church.
