She is survived by her three children, Jennifer (Roland) Brent, Tyrone (Jennifer) Byrd and Tiffany (Justin) Lashley; 8 grandchildren, Tiiyon Byrd, Makia Thomas, Xavier Brent, Avion Brent, Zion Brent, Malaya Brent, Jalen Byrd and Briella Byrd and 1 great-grandson, Ty'Shaun Byrd. She is also survived by her parents, brother, Larry (Butch) Stewart Jr. and sister, Jodi (Stewart) Wainwright.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Stewart.
Brenda was a lover of life. In her own words, she had too many interests to tell but a few were reading, writing, camping, swimming, and walking in the woods and mountains. She enjoyed Native American culture. She also wanted to be a help to those who needed it. Above all, she loved to dance. It was her favorite thing to do. As she said “Dancing… love it, love it, love it.” You could always find Brenda up front if a good band was playing.
